First Tree, down!!

August 8 - we cut down the first tree (well, Sean did)!! Mom watched the girls for us and we headed to our property. I got the job of marking red x's on the trees that needed to go. These were the trees located where our house and driveway are going. Marking the red x's was a lot fun... but also reminded me of the movie "Fern Gully"! lol :(

Unfortunately, we only got 4 large trees cut down. I somehow managed to get into a nest of deer ticks and we picked about 50 off of me! Sean managed, somehow, to get his saw stuck in a tree! So, Dad brought some tool out to help Sean and I headed home to shower! We then called it a day! I'm sure this is only the start of the stories we will have building this house!
